CONVENTION CHAIR

Carlo Castello

Born in Siracusa on June 4th 1953, Carlo has a B.A. in foreign languages and is a qualified tourist guide since 1979.

Since 1993 he has been a member of ANGT’s Board first in the position of Vice-President and currently as Treasurer. As of 1994, Carlo has been appointed Chairman of AGTS – the Association of Siracuse Tourist Guides.

Besides chairing the local association of guides, Carlo has been organizing for more than two decades the yearly International Tourist Guide Day – ITGD – in his hometown as well as updating courses for tourist guides.

He acts also as a Tourist advisor for the local Councilor of Tourism.

CONVENTION CO-CHAIR

Andrea Ogunbisi

Andrea Ogunbisi, born in London but raised in Milan, is a tourist guide and has been guiding since 1995 mainly in Milan & Lake Como but also in the other provinces of Lombardy for which she holds a certification.
Her expertise as a tourist guide matched with her skills as a guide-coordinator and her 14-year experience as chairperson of the largest Tourist Guide Association in Milan has prompted her to set up her own business and face new but stimulating challenges.
Although no longer an Ex-Bo member of ANGT – Italy’s National Association of Tourist Guides- for which she has also held the position of vice-president, Andrea is still an active member of ANGT and has participated in several WFTGA Conventions as an official delegate for Italy.
Furthermore, she has been involved for years in the organization and promotion, in Italy, of the events related to the International Tourist Guide Day – ITGD – a successful initiative of WFTGA, celebrated all over the world since 1990 on February 21st.

CONVENTION CO-CHAIR

Michela Ceccarini

Born in Genoa, Michela Ceccarini has been a qualified tourist guide in her hometown for more than 30 years.
She loves designing original itineraries through the towns and the villages in the district of Genoa and urban trekking experiences. Moreover, Michela enjoys collecting stories about the migrations to and from Liguria in the late 19th and the early 20th century, she is a lover of the arts of the historical avant-garde and fond of animals and good food.

Since 2013, Michela has been one of the coordinators of the International Tourist Guide Day in Italy.

She is the President of AGTL, the association of the tourist guides of Liguria, and the Secretary of ANGT.
